Carseat Dreams

April 8th, 2009:

Aubrey absolutely loves her carseat. She falls asleep almost immediately after being strapped into it. This will definitely make trips much more enjoyable!!

Aubrey's First Shower

March 28th, 2009:

Aubrey had her first shower. I decided to take her in with me and to my surprise she really enjoyed it. At first she had a look of shock on her face, but when i looked down at her in my arms a minute later she was trying to catch the water in her mouth!!

Daddy's Girl

March 18th, 2009:

Aubrey loves her daddy, and by the looks of it she already has him wrapped around her little finger.

A New Addition

Ok, so i know i am a little behind on keeping my blog updated. Thought i should post a few and bring it back up to date.

Aubrey Lynn blessed us with her arrival at 8:42pm on March 11, 2009. She weighed in at 7lbs 13ounces and was 20.5inches long. She was exactly 1 week before her scheduled c-section and 2 weeks earlier than her actual due date. I like to say she was aiming for her daddy's birthday, but missed it by a day.

It was a normal day at work and i wasn't feeling anything out of the ordinary. I decided to go to my parent's house for dinner. I sat down at the table with my mom and younger brother Trevor. I preceded to tell them how i hadn't slept well the previous night due to contractions, but that i refused to be one of those girls who went to the hospital in false labor. I said i was waiting until my water actually broke. As i stood up to leave the table not 5 minutes later...my water broke!!

On our way to the hospital i tried to get a hold of Kyle since he was still on the slope and was not expected back home for 2 more days. I also contacted my in-laws who immediately started heading into Anchorage from Palmer about an hour away. At this point i was still not experiencing any contractions and i thought i would be admitted for the night and probably have the baby the next day. To my surprise, Dr Richey decided it would be best to take the baby before i went into labor. My mom, my sister and her fiance', my younger brother, and my in-laws were all there for support, however i was really upset Kyle was going to miss it. Needless to say, everything went well with the surgery and Aubrey was born completely healthy. Kyle and my dad made it in from the slope the following day.

Here's a few pictures from our 4 day stay at Providence Hospital:
