Piglet
So as Kyle and i were putting Aubrey to bed the other night i used her Piglet stuffed animal to help prop her bottle. She loves soft things and was stroking it as she fell asleep. When she finally passed out i went to move the stuffed animal, but she had fallen asleep holding it's hand. It was so cute that i had to risk the chance in waking her up again just so i could get a picture!!

"We'll be friends forever won't we, Pooh?" asked Piglet. "Even longer," Pooh answered.

Valdez 2009
Our second camping trip with my parents, but our third so far this summer, took us to Valdez. This time the trip included myself, Aubrey, my parents, and Mischief. We left on Tuesday, June 23rd, and returned on Saturday, June 27th. It has been over 15 years since the last time i visited there. Many things have changed, but a few have stayed the same. It is still one of the most beautiful drives to take. There are many new houses in town, but many of the businesses have closed. My dad and i took the 4 wheelers back up Mineral Creek one day. It was definitely a trip to remember.
Above is a picture of the Matanuska Glacier on the way to Valdez. Not something you get to see everywhere.

Aubrey was so great in the car even though it was such a long trip. By the time we got there she was anxious to stretch her legs. While my parents got the trailer ready she kept herself amused by standing all by herself in her carseat and looking out the window.

Touring Valdez. Aubrey's Grandma & Grandpa Majors took turns carrying her because i thought she might be too heavy for me after having had a c-section 3 and a half months earlier.
Aubrey's bear paws. I just had to get her these mittens when i saw them since Kyle calls her "Bear".
Exploring one of the towns 3 museums. Aubrey loves being up high so she can see everything.

Museums must bore her. Haha. She passed out after visiting the first one!!

The eagles were everywhere. Thankfully i left Hailey at home or one might have snatched her up for lunch!!
Our campsite.
Good ole' Mischief...aka Missy. She is 11 years old now, but still completely young at heart and mind.
Watching CMT music videos. My dad says she is going to be a singer one day because of how much she seems to enjoy music.

It went from cloudy to sunny in a matter of minutes. It was beautiful so while my parents took off for a bit, Aubrey and i sat outside the trailer and caught some rays.

This bird was trying really hard to steal some of Missy's food from her bowl, but she was determined to keep the pesky critter away.
I may be pushing 30 and just have had a kid a few months ago, but i still got it!! I had to get another handstand picture for my collection.
My dad and a few of his favorite girls. These are the only two who don't talk back...yet anyway. Haha.
Me and Aubs. I can't believe how fast she is growing!!

On our way back to Anchorage we were able to stop in and visit Aubrey's Great Grandma and Grandpa Virgin.
Just as we were coming back into Anchorage, Aubrey started getting silly. This is her typical tongue out look.

Aubrey's Blessing
On Father's Day, Sunday June 21st, we got Aubrey blessed at the LDS church. Myself, Kyle, my parents, and Trevor were present. My dad did the blessing and was assisted by Brothers Orien, Green, Porter, and Wynn. Aubrey decided to throw a fit as soon as the microphone was near her, but it was still a very special moment. She wore the same dress her cousin, Brenna, wore. I forgot to bring my camera, but luckily my mom remembered hers.

Cooper Landing 2009
Well, since i haven't been working, Aubrey and i have been taking the opportunity to spend the summer camping. My parents bought a toy hauler and we have been traveling with them. It is definitely my way of camping. Running water, heat, kitchen, bathroom, queen size bed, stereo, TV, and DVD player. Haha. Our first trip was to Cooper Landing. We left on Thursday, June 18th, and returned on Saturday, June 20th. Myself, Aubrey, my parents, and our dogs Hailey and Mischief went. The weather wasn't all that great, but we still managed to enjoy ourselves. One of the days my dad and i decided to take the dogs and hike the Quartz Creek trail. Thinking it was only a half mile from the campsite, we set off on foot. That was a bad idea. It turned out being 2.5 miles from our campsite and the mosquitos were awful!! However, once we got to the trailhead there were no mosquitos in sight so we continued on. We hiked another 2.5 miles in and by the time we turned around to head back i already had blisters. Oh well, i still had fun. I also found out on this trip that Aubrey loves ranch dressing. She practically took my finger off trying to get it!!

Sarah Dunagan's Bachelorette Party
So, i haven't been keeping up with this too well. I have a few blogs to post to catch up. Back on June 6 my sister and i attended a bachelorette party for Sarah Dunagan. She was a gymnast with us for many years dating back to our Gymnastics North days. We were a little hesitant to go since we really didn't know many of the other girls, but we ended up having a blast. We started out the night at Suite 100 for dinner and drinks. Then the party bus picked us up. We blindfolded the bride and picked up some surprise guests. Don't worry...they weren't real strippers!! They were actually the groom and the matron of honors husband. Haha. It was pretty funny really. Then we were out for a night on the town. It was a great time and met some really nice girls. It was also nice to share in the moment with Sarah...soon to be Mrs. Waldrop!!
